Welcome to GAZA

Welcome - this website is intended to promote awareness of our organization and our role in the local government process of planning and zoning in Georgia. It is also intended as a communication tool for our members regarding upcoming GAZA conferences, applications for membership and available scholarships, our Board of Directors, as well as other information. 

 

 CM credits are now available for the Winter 2012 conference - please check the APA website www.planning.org to obtain your credits. 

 

 In honor of Betty Gecoma, the founder of GAZA, a $1,000 college academic scholarship is awarded each year to an entering freshman or upperclassman who demonstrates superior academic achievements and has financial need. The applicant must be an active GAZA member, or the child or grandchild of an active, retired, or deceased GAZA member. Application submittals for 2012-13 must be postmarket no later than May 31st. The next GAZA conference will be held August 23-24 in the Northeast Georgia mountains at the Brasstown Valley Resort. Info about the resort can be found at http://www.brasstownvalley.com/ and registration info will be coming soon.
